** Installing eScan ISS SMB v11 as a Server on Windows 8 & Windows 2012:
You can very well install eScan Client on Windows 8 and on Windows Server 2012 operating system.
For installing eScan Server (which has SQL 2005 Express incorporated in it), you cannot install eScan Server on these OS using SQL 2005, as there is compatibility issue of SQL 2005 Express edition on these specific Windows Operating Systems. So, if you want to install eScan Server on these OS you need to first download & install "Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express" Free edition or higher edition and then during eScan Server installation wizard you need to select that existing installed instance of SQL which will be used by eScan for the database purpose. Incase you already have installed "Microsoft SQL Server 2008" free or higher paid edition, then during eScan Server installation simply select that installed SQL instance.
