No, eScan uses, SQL server Express edition which is freely redistributable, and does not require any license, but it has below limitations.
Microsoft SQL 2005 Express edition supports database size upto 4 gb
Microsoft SQL 2008 Express edition supports database size upto 8 gb
If any customer is having more than 1000+ endpoints, we recommend them to use SQL Server license edition which supports unlimited database.
